How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Most kitchen remodels take 3–6 weeks depending on scope. A cosmetic refresh might be done in 1–2 weeks, while a full gut-out with layout changes can run 4–8 weeks. We give you a detailed timeline before work starts — and we stick to it.
Do I need to move out during the remodel?
Most clients stay home during kitchen and bathroom remodels. We contain the work area, protect flooring, and clean up each day. For major gut-outs or if you have only one bathroom, we'll discuss timing to minimize disruption.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — FLAX Remodeling is fully licensed in Georgia and carries comprehensive general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're happy to provide certificates upon request.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. When permits are required — structural changes, plumbing or electrical work — we pull and manage all permits on your behalf. This is included in the project cost and protects your home's resale value.
How do payment and contracts work?
We use a clear, milestone-based payment schedule — typically a deposit to start, progress payments tied to project phases, and a final payment upon your approval at walkthrough. Never pay in full upfront.
Do you offer a warranty?
All FLAX projects come with a 10-year workmanship warranty. If something we installed fails due to our workmanship within that period, we fix it at no charge. Material warranties from manufacturers are additional.
